i taught the expository unit last week,in the past, the three elements of explanatory order, explanatory method and language were still the focus of explanatory text teaching.but i am also thinking about it recently,explain what is the key to learning.i think the most fundamental purpose of studying explanatory text is to understand the object of persuasion.the next step is to learn how to introduce the object scientifically and reasonably,因此, explaining the characteristics of the object should be the focus of learning.but,in our past teaching,the relevant elements of the explanatory text seem to occupy most of the study time,as a result, the description object itself is ignored.take "chinese stone arch bridge" as an example,although the first question in the exercise after class is "what are the general characteristics of chinese stone arch bridges?""but the standard answer is beautiful form, long history, and strong structure.it just ignores the most important feature of the stone arch bridge-"the arch of the stone arch bridge is curved".because,other bridges,for example, beam bridges and cable bridges also have the above three characteristics.the "arched shape" is the most fundamental feature that distinguishes stone arch bridges from other bridges.i think the reason for this problem is that when we usually read the explanatory text,mainly focus on related sequence, method and language,it ignores the attention to the explanatory object itself.therefore,when designing this class,i will focus on explaining the characteristics of the object,organized the entire teaching process.
